Wellbeing Weeks: A Huge Success!

We are excited to say that our school held its very first Wellbeing Weeks recently and they were a fantastic success! Organised by the Student Council, teachers, staff, and the wider school community, these special weeks were all about promoting happiness, kindness, and self-care among students and staff.

Here are some of the fantastic events that took place during the fortnight to encourage everyone to take care of their own Wellbeing:

  • Daily videos about wellbeing from various members of our school community including Ms. N Fay our Principal, Ms. Mooney our secretary, Mr Ivers our caretaker, Katie our housekeeper, Patricia and Tracey our lollipop ladies, Father Damien, Margaret Condon our tiny towns representative, Nicky Moloney our head of the PTA, our Student Council team, our teachers, sna’s, students including our nineteen sets of twins
  • Gratitude activities
  • Whole school dance-athon
  • Bí Cineálta Day
  • Class cineáltas jars
  • Writing positive notes
  • Class gratitude cups
  • Staff coffees and treats
  • Odd Socks Day
  • Arts and crafts for mindfulness
  • Celebrations of achievements
  • Relaxing story time sessions with Ms. N Fay
  • A whole school Rock the Boat event.

Parents, guardians, and local community members also took part by sharing positive messages, supporting activities, and encouraging kindness beyond the school grounds.

Throughout the weeks, we saw so many smiling faces, and it was clear that everyone enjoyed taking time to focus on their wellbeing. We also loved seeing students supporting one another and spreading kindness across the school and into the wider community.

A huge thank you to our teachers, staff, families, and community members for helping us bring this event to life, and to all the students who participated with enthusiasm. We hope that Wellbeing Weeks have inspired everyone to continue looking after their mental and physical health every day!

Stay happy and healthy and remember to have fun!

The Student Council 🙂
