Our school just had a fantastic Food Dudes Week, and it was full of fun, tasting, and healthy adventures! Every day, students got to try different fruits and vegetables and were encouraged to give everything a go — even foods they hadn’t tasted before.
There was great excitement around the school each morning as classes discovered what the fruit and vegetable of the day would be. Many students surprised themselves by liking new flavours, and lots of thumbs-up were seen during tasting time!
One of the best parts of the week was that classes paired up to do their tastings together. It was lovely to see older and younger students sharing the experience, chatting about their favourites, and encouraging each other to try a bite. These buddy tastings made the week even more social and enjoyable.
Ms. Connolly’s 6th class proudly resumed their role as the Food Dudes Committee. They did a wonderful job leading the way and promoting healthy eating around the school. They especially enjoyed sharing their tasting sessions with the classes in the Garden Room. A huge thank you to Ms. Connolly for leading this initiative in our school.
Well done to all our students for being brave tasters and healthy heroes. We are very proud of how everyone took part. Keep up the great healthy eating habits!
