There was tremendous excitement among the boys and girls in 5th Class, Room 25, who were awarded not one, but two Outstanding Achievement Awards at the FÍS (Film in Schools) Competition Award Ceremony held last Thursday at the Helix, DCU.
They created two fantastic movies with their teacher, Mr. Lowery, when in 4th class last year and had submitted their entries into the FÍS Film Competition.
The first award was for 'Outstanding Achievement in Filmmaking Local Interest' and a second was awarded for 'Outstanding Achievement in Filmmaking Special Effects'. Both movies 'Saint Brigid and the Case of the Missing Foot', and 'The Upgrade' can be viewed on the FÍS website: Link to projects
Huge thanks and congratulations to Mr. Lowery for his creativity and hard work with this group of budding film makers. Well done, we are very proud of you all.
