Ms. Cummins’ 2nd Class had lots of fun this month making a model village of Castleknock. They created a variety of real and imagined buildings from mostly recycled materials. They used cardboard boxes, paint, lollipop sticks, buttons and creativity! Then they laid out all the buildings to make their very own constructed village. They invited some other classes from around the school to come and have a look. Ms. Ní Fhearghail’s class came to visit and worked with the students from Ms. Cummins class to brainstorm some short narratives that could happen in the imagined village. Some of the students from Ms. Cummins’ class retold their narratives orally to the class. Please enjoy a tour of the village!
