We had a very special visitor to the school today - All Ireland winner and past pupil of St.Brigid's, Ashling Nyhan!
Ashling left St.Brigid's a mere 8 years ago and since then she has represented Dublin in Ladies Football from U13 right up to Senior level where she was recently part of the Dublin team that beat Meath in the All Ireland final to win the Brendan Martin Cup.
The children from 3rd to 6th class enjoyed spending some time with Ashling in the library today and listening to her advice on how they can be the best that they can be over the coming years.
Ashling is a fantastic role model for the children who often see her down training in St.Brigid's GAA club and helping out with the club camps during the school holidays.
We are very proud of Ashling here in St.Brigid's and wish her well on and off the pitch over the next number of years.
