On Friday, Fourth Class pupils helped plant a beautiful skimmia shrub at the school entrance with the kind support of Margaret from the Parish Pastoral Committee. The children enjoyed getting their hands dirty and learning about how to care for plants in their local community. Skimmia is a slow-growing evergreen shrub with glossy green leaves and red berries. In spring, it produces tiny, fragrant flowers that bees and butterflies love. It is a plant that looks lovely all year round. We are proud to brighten the school grounds with this lovely addition and we are grateful to Margaret for sharing her time and gardening knowledge with us.
